What is it that I am buying?
24,000 shares in a company called Manoir de Founcroup Limited. The only asset of the company is the property and the grounds of Le Manoir de Founcroup.
 
What does this entitle me to?
Four weeks residency per year at Le Manoir de Founcroup.
 
When are the residency weeks?
The residency week commences on a Saturday. For 2004, the dates are: 6 March, 29 May, 11 September and 27 November.
 
Do the residency weeks change?
Yes, each year the residency week rolls forward one week. So for 2005 the weeks commence on: 12 March, 4 June, 17 September and 3 December.
 
How many other shareholders are there?
There are fourteen other shareholders with a varying number of residency weeks.
 
Can I temporarily swap residency weeks?
Yes, each shareholder has a list of contact details and the shareholders affected can agree to swap weeks during the year. In addition there are 4 maintenance weeks a year which, with the agrement of the management company, the shareholder can swap.
 
Who are the management company?
They are called French Heritage Services and they were responsible for the setting up of the company and the original sale of shares.
 
What do the management company do?
They are responsible for ensuring the property and grounds are properly maintained. They also keep the books and records of Manoir de Founcroup Limited. The company has a permanent staff of one maintenance man and a cleaner and their France based Manager lives just behind Le Manoir de Founcroup.
 
What is the management fee?
For a shareholding of 4 weeks, the management fee is approximately £800 for 2005.
 
Can I advertise my weeks if I am not using them?
Yes shareholders can rent out their weeks.
 
How many people can sleep at Founcroup?
The property can sleep a maximum of 11. There are 3 double bedrooms, one twin and one single. There is also a double sofa bed on the ground floor.
 
What facilities does Founcroup have?
There is a tennis court, orchard, Petangue court, approximately 5 acres of pasture land, terrace/patio area with 8 seater wooden table, bicycles (adult and child size), a television and video, computer with internet connection, telephone and Aga in the kitchen.
 
What is supplied at Founcroup?
For your stay, each bedroom will be fully supplied with bed linen, pillows, blankets and duvets - you will need to bring your own towels and tea-towels. The kitchen is fully equiped with china and cutlery, dishes and saucepans and other utensils. There are a selection of tennis rackets and balls for the tennis court and also a number of bicycles to suit all ages.
 
What are the times of arrival and departure at Le Manoir?
Your residency week starts on a Saturday, with arrival after 2.00pm and runs through until the following Saturday, with departure before 11.00pm.
 
What is the cost of buying 4 weeks?
£29,500 for 4 weeks at Le Manoir for the rest of your life.
